Dr Edward Van Beem M.B.B.S.(W.A.) F.R.C.S. (Ed) F.R.A.C.S. (Plastics) is a fully qualified plastic and reconstructive surgeon.

Dr Van Beem was born and educated in Perth, studying at the University of Western Australia and graduating medicine in 1982. After internship and residency at Royal Perth Hospital he undertook specialist training in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Royal Perth Hospital which included time at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Princess Margaret Hospital for Children. In 1989 he worked at St Thomas’ Hospital in London as a lecturer with the University of London and in 1990 undertook a further fellowship in plastic and reconstructive surgery in Oxford, United Kingdom. Dr Van Beem received his final qualifications in plastic surgery in 1990 and after a year as a specialist in London, returned to Perth at the end of 1991.

Dr Van Beem is now in full time private practice as a specialist plastic surgeon at the Mount Hospital and Cambridge Day Surgery. Dr Van Beem’s practice encompasses both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. Dr Van Beem believes in providing a surgical service tailored to your requirements.
